FAQS

A: For weddings within the months of March, October and November, our maximum guests’ numbers are 120. For weddings between the months of April – September, our maximum guest’ numbers are 150. We love intimate weddings too! So we don’t impose a minimum guest number cap on weddings at Newhall.

A: Within the house, and as part of the wedding package, is accommodation for 29 guests sleeping both the Friday and Saturday night inclusive. Should you wish to have more residential guests, you can add on our 3 onsite cottage which sleep a further 11, bringing to a total of 40 residential guests. Don’t worry, if you don’t require the cottages, we won’t hire these out to the public, it would still be a full exclusive use hire.

A: Check-In at Newhall is 12Noon the day prior to the wedding for our wedding couples and immediate family (3PM for remaining guests and cottages), and check-out is 11AM the day after the wedding. Should you wish to add on additional days to your stay, check-out is typically 10AM on days thereafter.

A: Not only do we have capacity for 50 parked cars on site, Coaches and buses can access the Estate, up to a maximum of 70-seaters. If you have booked a coach or bus to take your guests to/from the Estate, please let us know and we can advise the best access points based on their size.

A: We are! All of our event spaces are accessible, in addition to having 4-bedroom options on the ground floor. One of these bedrooms (Flower Room), has a wet room bathroom, as well as direct access to our lawns.

A: We are a dog friendly venue; dogs are family too! We kindly ask that there are no more than 3 dogs staying with us on site, and we charge a fee of £20 to procure specialised cleaning products for after their stay. Please see your Rooming List document, which lists bedrooms which dogs can stay overnight; we also have onsite outdoor kennels.

A: On the wedding day itself, it is required that a member of our catering panel is picked to cater your special day. If you would like them to cater the whole weekend, you certainly can, however our only stipulation is they are here on the wedding day. For the Friday and Sunday, we don’t charge you anything additional for bringing your own food and drinks (including alcohol) for the days you are staying with us out with the wedding day (as the house is technically classed as self-catering if you are entertaining with your residential guests).

A: On the wedding day itself, you get two Newhall event managers whose job is to look after you, your guests, suppliers, and all of your set-up requirements. Typically, they will be with you from 9AM, until your last guest makes it safely home. For the Friday evening and Sunday, if you are enjoying the house and grounds with your residential guests, we encourage you to enjoy the Estate all to yourselves! Please note, if you invite non-residential guests on to the Estate on the Friday night or Sunday, the Estate is no longer classed as self-catering, and an event manager would be required for an additional fee.
